The first 2008 salary increase projections that I've seen were released earlier this week by CompData Surveys. According to the results of their annual Compensation Data survey, preliminary salary increase budgets averaged 3.65% for 2007 and are projected to be 3.63% on average for 2008 - essentially flat.
As more results from annual salary increase planning surveys are published, including the major ones from organizations like WorldatWork and Mercer, usually later in the summer, the projected salary increase picture for 2008 will come into sharper focus.
